Are you looking for student accommodation?
Increase your chances of getting student accommodation by registering in our housing queue. We mediate first hand contracts from Studentstaden and Rikshem, two of Uppsala's largest student accomodation landlords.
At Uppsala Bostadsförmedling, both current and future students can apply for student accommodation. Even international students who do not have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) can get their student housing through us.
You can start applying for accommodation when you have completed the registration on our website and we have received your payment of the annual fee of 290 SEK. As a student, you get to keep your accumulated queueing time when you get a student residence through us. This means that you can search for other types of rental apartments within the Uppsala region both during and after your study period.
We have vacant student residences published right now!
At the moment, there are several vacant student residences that you can apply for. All vacant student residences are listed under Lediga bostäder, Vacant residences. To make it easier to see when new student housing is published, you can create a subscription. You will then receive an email when new student residences are published on the website.
Advice for those seeking student accommodation
- It's important to be active as an applicant. Be sure to visit our website regularly and make sure you place a subscription.
- If you are first in line for an apartment, make sure you have all the required certificates ready and uploaded to “My pages” on our website. This shortens the mediation process.
- There is usually a higher search pressure at the start of each semester. Don’t give up if you do not get a student residence right away. It is often a little easier to get a student residence as the semester progresses.
